Artistic swimmer from Suzhou helps China win bronze at FINA Worlds
China's Shi Haoyu and Zhang Yiyao have won a bronze medal with 86.4425 points in the mixed duet technical of artistic swimming at the 19th FINA World Championships in Budapest.

Zhang Yiyao, a native of Changshu, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Suzhou, was born in 2002. The youngest member in Team China, she is also attending the championships for her first time.
The pair brought China its first-ever mixed artistic swimming medal in the world championships. They claimed a silver at the FINA World Junior Artistic Swimming Championships in 2018.

Zhang became a member of the swimming team at the Changshu City Sports School in 2009, focused on artistic swimming in 2015, and then joined the national youth team in 2018. For the stunning performance at the 14th National Games of China in 2021, she was admitted by the national artistic swimming team.
After winning the bronze medal, Zhang said that she enjoys every moment of the match and is very satisfied with the result. She also said the preparation and the competition have helped her a lot.
