Annual electronics show opens in Suzhou

The 13th China Electronic Manufacturer Expo (eMEX 2014) opened at Suzhou International Exposition Center today. The two-day show has drawn many exhibitors and new technologies from around the world.

Wearable electronic gadgets, such as Google Glass and Google Watch, are highlights at the show. Robots and 3D printing are also crowd-pullers.

Last year Suzhou’s IT companies generated 1.17 trillion yuan (US$191 billion) in sales, accounting for 42 percent of the total made by electronics manufacturers in Jiangsu Province.
