Future Private Advisory Board-- The New Normal for Business Idea Sharing

Jun 24, 2015

The first Suzhou International Elite Enterprises and CEOs Private Advisory Board was successfully held in Pingjiang Fu Half Garden on May 20. The board meeting was held to discuss the innovation and development of small and medium-size enterprises, and twelve successful entrepreneurs whose companies were founded in Suzhou took part.

During the board meeting, Xu Wenjie, the founder of the Future Board, Stefano Lu, chairman and general manager of Samsung Electronics China Co Ltd, as well as many other acclaimed CEOs shared their experiences and insights and offered suggestions on future development for companies and enterprises, as well as the stories behind their own enterprises. The Future ‘Explorer’ Board was held in the Global 188 skyscraper a week later.

The Private Advisory Board dates back to 1957 when American Enterpriser Robert Nourse and four other CEOs established regular round table meetings. As the popularity of these grew and their status increased acclaimed business people and prominent CEOs from different industries and fields began to follow suit.

This approach was first formally introduced to China by Vistage in 2006 and was brought to Jiangsu Province in 2011 by Golden Future Investing and Consulting Company. In the following years it has steadily become more popular.

Golden Future Investing and Consulting Company was one of the few recruitment companies authorized by the Suzhou government when it was founded in 2002 by Xu. The company devoted itself to recruitment consulting, HR, business Salons and staff training. It has also been pioneering recruitment training and testing techniques, and subsequently developed a strong reputation amongst HR companies in Jiangsu, Zhejiang as well as Shanghai. It also has plans to expand globally in due course.

In terms of the Future Board, meetings are held on average once a month. The purpose of the Board is to create a platform for enterprises to share their experiences, especially those surrounding business start-ups and resulting management.  It is also a means by which problems can be considered and possible solutions generated.

The board also enables people to have an opportunity to mix with others from potentially quite different fields of expertise to develop friendships.  It also provides a form of social communication and a way in which to develop mutual trust, with a mantra being to ‘follow ones heart in the pursuit of goals.’

It is hoped also that the Future Board will become the new normal in terms of idea sharing for CEOs and entrepreneurs, and provide a strong business and social interaction platform. This will hopefully also support city’s wide economic development and indeed hopefully in due course national development as well.
