Hua xin, literally translated as a letter with only pictures, is an increasingly popular art form flourishing in Japan and China. It is way to encourage kids to communicate their emotions through pictures before they are able to write more characters. Hua xin has now developed into an art displaying the beauty of child-like pictures as well as Chinese characters.

A hua xin exhibition at Suzhou Art Museum showcases thousands of postcards made by students in China and Japan.
