French artist Alan Clement is holding a solo exhibition, his Chinese debut, at Suzhou Art Museum from August 12 to 31. Clement has been painting for more than 40 years and has destroyed most of his works, leaving only a few in private collections. He now lives on an isle in Ireland. His unique paintings of urban dwellings are devoid of human life and appear permanently deserted in a post-human world.
