A Suzhou New District-based company will develop modular data centers in collaboration with GIGA Data Centers, a global leading data center operator, local media recently reported.
Both sides will cooperate in construction, operation and maintenance of data centers, according to the strategic cooperation agreement inked between Suzhou A-Rack Information Technology Co and GIGA.
The two sides will also explore how to obtain data in a more efficient way and how to construct more efficient modular data centers in a bid to satisfy computing system requirements.
A modular data center system is a portable method of deploying data center capacity. It can be placed anywhere data capacity is needed.
Ding Zhiyong, general manager of A-Rack, said that it will only take six days to deploy the modular data center, six months faster than deploying a traditional one.
In addition, the cost for deploying a modular data center is 30 percent lower than that required for a traditional model.
With the help of GIGA's advanced technologies, A-Rack will greatly reduce the energy consumption of data centers and in return will offer GIGA highly integrated data centers, which boast energy conservation and add to environmental protection.
Suzhou A-Rack Information Technology Co is a professional designer and manufacturer of data centers as well as a supplier of network cabinets, server cabinets, wall cabinets, open racks, and cooling rooms.
